Ashtanga Yoga - The Best Asanas in Yoga

Ashtanga yoga is practiced in a series of asanas and is the most popular type of yoga. Each asana aims to cleanse the nadis and prepare the practitioner to Samadhi (the highest limb) of the practice. Some asanas can be used to awaken the kundalini spiritual energy, which lies dormant within the root chakra. This is how practitioners prepare for Samadhi.

The first asana is Savasana, which involves lying on your back with your hands on your thighs. Now, you will raise your head at a 30-degree angle. Your shoulders should be in line with your hips. The goal is to keep your head up and straight. This will improve your abdominal muscles, and help you lose belly fat. Performing this asana on a daily basis will help strengthen your leg muscles, which will help prevent further injuries.

An open chest and strong back are essential. This asana is good for digestion and warming up the entire body. This pose should not be attempted if you have any lung or heart problems. Before starting any new exercises and asanas you should consult your doctor.

Keep your feet together by bending forward. While practicing this asana it is important to take deep, slow breaths and not fret about other people's approval. You should practice the pose for five minutes after you have completed it.

It is best to practice this asana with a partner. Partner should be there to support each other while you practice the asanas. Asanas can be very beneficial to the spine and back. You should consult your doctor before you attempt these asanas. They can boost your immune system and help prevent diseases. They are great for the shoulders. When you feel pain or strain, you can try a counter pose to relieve the pain.

The child's pose helps restore vitality. It's a good asana to perform in between more strenuous poses. You can practice this pose during your session if there are any doubts. Be sure to practice it with closed eyes and listen to your breath while you do it. Start by bending at the knees and laying on your back. Gently lower your thighs to your chest and bring them in.
